Click on the "Register Free" link shown at the home page. It will direct you to another page where you have to enter all the necessary details that will be prompted in the page.We recommend you to give detailed information and avoid skipping optional information, as this may be very helpful for someone viewing your profile to know about you as far as possible.Once finished entering the details, Click on “Submit" button. That’s all it takes to create your profile. All the profiles are validated before inclusion in the database. It may take up to 24 hours for the validation. An intimation e-mail will be sent to you, once your profile is validated and added to the database. The profiles are validated for statutory regulations of the site to avoid pornography and various other factors and to have uniformity in the database.
Our Support team does validation of your profile manually and hence it takes almost 24 hours for validating all the profiles created on a particular day.
Yes! It is not necessary that, only Bride/Groom should apply. In fact, there are many profiles registered by parents and relatives.
We take into account, each and every word you had entered. We ignore those profiles which are created by underage persons, profiles containing irrelevant and abusive content, and those which are not related to marriage such as "I am here for friendship, dating" and so on. We strictly follow this to provide best service to the members.
This is the field where you have to enter about yourself.ie, your family, education, professional background, achievements, likes and dislikes and also your expectation about the partner. We recommend you to give the information in detail, so that you will receive as many interests as possible. It is possible to view other profiles without adding your own profile.But, Nothing more than just viewing other's profile, is possible. In order to contact other member or express your interest, It is must to add your profile.You have the facility to hide your profile after creation, so that no member can see your profile. To hide your profile 1.On the "Menu bar" shown on each page you go and click profile then Click the Hide/unsubscribe button option. 2.On the Hide/Unsubscribe page, just click the "disable your profile" button and then click the disable. 3.Your profile will not be visible to other members. In spite of being a hidden member, you can view/contact other members.
Do's While creating a matrimonial profile, give brief information about yourself, such as Your personality (what kind of a person you are, your likes and dislikes). Your educational and professional achievements. Your family (how many members, family values - conservative or modern). Your career plans. Your expectations from your life partner. Your photograph. Our repeated suggestion: Profiles with photos have 10 times better chances of getting proposals. Don'ts Please do not give a lengthy description. Try to keep your description short and complete and do not get into the minutest details. Please do not try to display your contact details in your matrimonial profile, except in the space provided for contact details. Do not include content that is vulgar or racist. ABOUT MATRIMONY Email and Password |

You can login to your account by entering your E-mail address, that you provided at the time of registration, and your password in the login section shown at the Home page.
Your login informations are stored with the help of Cookies. So please be sure that your browser is configured to enable cookies, before logging in.
Click on the "Forgot password" link in the home page.By doing so, it will ask some question.so carefully enter ur things according to the question. You can get the Username and Password immediately or It will sent to your Email address.
1.Login using your "Email-ID" and "Password". 2.Go to the menu bar and just select the profile and click the "Change password" link. 3.Enter your current password. 4.Enter your new password and confirm the same. Click on "Change Password" button. 5.Your new password will be activated immediately and can be used from the next time you login.
This may be due to incorrect Email-ID or password entered. Please check that the Email-ID and password or entered in correct case.Also check whether "CAPS LOCK" is on or off.If you still have trouble logging in, please click on the "Forgot password" link to get your Email-ID and password through E-mail.
Please note that Email-ID and password are case sensitive.
Matrimony ID is unique and can be assigned to only one person.Please register separately.

MODIFY PROFILE |

To modify your profile,
1.Login to your account
2.Go to the menu bar and select the profile and select "modify profile" option.
3.Here, you can modify the profile and confirm it by clicking on the "Submit" button.
Whatever be the membership scheme, you have chosen, No Refund of the fee or transfer of membership to another person, is not possible.
It will take a maximum of 24 hours, as your new informations will be manually validated by our team for the presence of any irrelavent data.
You can modify any data that you have previously entered except Gender.
Your profile status can either be set as 'Enable' or 'Disable'. Your profile status will be "Enable", by default. Setting the profile status to 'Disable' makes your profile invisible to others. But you will be able to login and contact other profiles. This facility is available Paid members.
To set your Profile status:
1.Login to your account.
2.Under the "Profiles" section, select the "Hide/unsubscribe" option.
3.Select the "Enable" or "Disable" option in "Hide/unsubscribe" page.
4.Your profile status will be modified immediately.

DELETE PROFILE |

To delete your profile:
1.Login to your account using your Email-ID and Password.
2.Select the "Hide/Unsubscribe" option under "Profile" section on the menu bar and enter the reason for deletion.
3.Click on the UNSUBSCRIBE button. Your profile will be deleted immediately.
4.Please note that profiles once deleted cannot be restored or reactivated.
Your profile once deleted from our database cannot be restored/reactivated.

SEARCH/VIEW PROFILE |

The types of search available are:
1.Quick Search - It is a convenient way to search for a list of prospective partners based on a few basic fields.
2.Advanced Search- Here, you have to provide more details about the member you are searching for, such as, their name, caste,language,city,state,age and so on.When deails are entered correctly, the result will be accurate.
Advanced Search is designed to cover every aspect of your search criteria delivering such profiles. Advanced Search has additional options of searching for profiles using keywords, caste no bar option, search on the basis of residing state and physical status to further bring profiles closest to your expectations. You can also search for Manglik profiles.
The Advanced Search Option facilitates you to search for profiles of particular category, depending upon your need. The search process will be based on the keyword that you have entered in the "keywords" field. For example, If you enter "chennai", then the search process will return profiles of those members, residing in chennai.
This may be due to incorrect Search criteria entred by you. Please check the spellings in the search criteria field. The spelling need not be accurate, but must be relative to the correct spelling. For example, you can enter kounder or koundhar for the sub caste Gounder.

EXPRESS INTEREST |

Express Interest is an option through which you can express your interest on other members upon seeing their profile.
You can send "Express Interest" messages to anyone you choose. However, you can accept any number of 'Express Interest' messages sent to you by other members.
1.Login to your account using e-mail ID and Password.
2.Go to the "Quick Search" or "Advance Search".
3.You will be navigated to the Search results page where you can see various members of your preference.
4.Click on the "Express interest" link.You will be directed to another page from where you can send your interest to that particular member.
You will receive the notification mail in your matrimony.ellamey.com account.You can find it in the "accepted, declined" section.
No. Your contact information will not be sent along with the automated message expressing your interest.
Only Paid members can send personalized messages.
You can send "Express Interest" in a member more than once until they decline.
If someone has sent "Express Interest" message to you, you will be notified through mail and also in your ellamey.matrimony.com account in the "Interests Received" section.
In case of Free membership:
1.Click on the "Accept" button to accept his/her interest.
2.Click on the "Decline" button to decline a members interest.
If you are a Paid member:
1.You can send personalized message to the member who have expressed his/her interest in you using the "Contact this Profile" option.
2.You can decline the interest sent on you using the "Decline" option and can also send personalized message to them stating the reason for your decline.
Yes, you can "Decline" a member's interest, which you have accepted earlier.
You can accept a declined message. Click on the "Interest Received" link in the "My Matrimony" page and select the "Declined List". Select the profile you want to "Accept" and click on the "Accept" button.
You could conveniently send a message to multiple interests at the same time by selecting them and sending a preset message.
Go to "My Message" page and click on the "Interests sent" option.You can also see the status of all the interests that you have sent.
Express Interest Pending - Here you can find a list of interests sent or received by you, which are still pending.
Express Interest Declined - Here you can find a list of Express Interests you have made or received that have been declined.
Express Interest Accepted - Here you can find a list of all the Express Interests you have made or received that have been accepted so that you can take further action.

Free membership is suitable for those who join here for the first time.
A free member can :
1.Post profile
2.Receive mails of matching profiles
3.Add photo (A maximum of three is allowed).
4.Express interest to other members through "Express interest" option.
5.Receive personalized messages from paid members, but cannot send personalized message to anyone.
Only Paid Members can send personalized messages. Free members can send only "Automated Messages" such as "Express Interest" and reply to the message which is send by paid members.
A non-member can search for profiles of those who have already registered with us.But to contact them or express your interest in them, you must register with us.

FAVOURITE / IGNORE PROFILE |

1.Login to your account using e-mail ID and Password.
2.Select the "Quick Search" option.
3.You will see "Favourites" link with each member of the search result.Click on the link to bookmark members.
4.The favourite profile will be added to your "Favorites" list.You can also add comments so that each time you search for that member, you will be shown, the comments you created for that member and you can recognize that member easily.
You can view all the members you have favorited in the "Favourites" list in the menu bar.
If you find some profiles not suitable for you, while searching, you can ignore that profile through "Ignore" option. You can also add comments to the ignored profiles to recognize them in future.
This facility is available only for Paid members. Through this option, you can block any profile and it will be saved in your "Block list". These members will not be able to express interest in you.
1.Login to your account using EMail id and Password.
2.From the menu bar, Click on the "favorite profiles".
3.Here, You can view, edit the favoriteded profiles.

2.From the menu bar, Click on the "Ignored Profile".
3.Here, You can view, edit the Ignored profiles.

ABOUT PHOTO AND HOROSCOPE |

1.Login to your account using Email-ID and Password.
2.Click on the "Upload Photo" link under the space reserved for your Photo.
3.This will take you to photo upload page.
4.Click on the "Upload Photo" link
5.Click the 'Browse' button and select the digital photo (in JPG /GIF /PNG format) you wish to add to your profile.
6.Click on "Add Photo" to add the photo to your profile.
7.This will upload your photo into your profile. You can upload a maximum of three photos into your profile of which only one can be set as main photo.
If you have such problems in uploading your photo, Please send your photo either in GIF or JPEG or PNG format with your Email-ID and Password to info@matrimony.ellamey.com. Please do not forget to specify, which photo should be added as main photo.A confirmation mail will be sent to you after your photo has been successfully uploaded.
In case, you do not have a digital photo, please send the hard copy of your photo to any of our office and we will scan it and upload into your profile. Please do specify, which photo should be your main photo.If you want your photo copies back, please mention the self address, so that we can send it back.
Note: This service is absolutley free of cost.
A maximum of three photos are allowed per profile, including the main photo to be displayed.
Yes. You can choose your main photo of your choice, while uploading and click the "make this main photo" after validation.
1.Login to your account using Email-ID and password
2.Click on the "Upload Photo" link. This link will be seen on the space reserved for photo.
3.Click on the "Change Photo" link below the photo you wish to change.
This may be due to the fact that, you may have uploaded photo in a format other than GIF or JPEG or PNG or the size of the photo might have exceeded the maximum size of 300KB
You can Password protect your photo.
1.Login to your account using Email-ID and Password.
2.Click on the "Upload Photo" link.This link will be seen on the space reserved for uploading your photo.
3.Click on the "YES" button under the "Protect Photo".
4.Enter your password now. This should be different from your profile password and click on the "Submit" button.
5.Please note that this option is available only for Paid members.
Protected photos can be viewed only when the photopassword is known. So contact the member who has protected his/her photo in order to view the photo.
You cannot retrieve it but you can set a new password. To set a new password,
1.Login to your accout using EMail-ID and Password.
2.Click on the "Upload Photo" link seen at the space provided for photo upload.
3.Select the "Yes" button under the "Protect Photo" subhead.
4.Click on the "Submit" button.
You can unprotect your photo and make it viewable by everyone:
1.Login to your account using Email-ID and Password.
2.Click on the "Upload Photo" link seen at the space provided for photo upload.
3.Select "No" button under protect photo subhead.
4.Click on the "Submit" button.
If you find a profile that matches with that of yours and the profile does not have a photo, You can send a request to that member asking for his/her photo through this "Photo Request" Photo image option.
Yes. We provide you the service of uploading your horoscope absolutly free of cost.
To add your horoscope:
1.Login to your account using Email-ID and Password.
2.In the menu bar "Photo/Horo" section, click on the " Upload Horoscope" link.
3.By doing so, will take you to "Upload horoscope" page.
4.Click on the Browse button under the Upload horoscope section.This will allow you to select a file for upload from your Hard drive.please note that Files of type other than GIF or JPEG cannot be uploaded.
5.Click on "Add Horoscope" button to add your horoscope to your profile.
6.Your horoscope will now be uploaded into your profile.
Yes. It is possible to upload new horoscope despite the fact that you already have one, But your existing horoscope will be replaced by the newly uploaded horoscope. So it is recommended to download the existing copy before uploading the new one, if you want it for future use.
Only Paid members can protect their horoscope.This service cannot be availed by Free members and Non-members
If you are a paid member, you can protect your horoscope with password.
1.Login to your account using Email-ID and Password.
2.In the menu bar "Photo/Horo" section, click on the " Upload Horoscope" link.
3.By doing so, will take you to "Upload horoscope" page.
4.Enter your horoscope password (Note that horoscope password is different from profile password) and re-enter the same for confirmation.
5.Click on the "Submit" button.
6.Please note that, This service can be availed only by the "Paid members
You can view a protected horoscope only when its horoscope password is known. So contact the person who has protected his/her horoscope for horoscope
password.
The horoscope password cannot be retrieved, but you can set a new password :
1.Login to your account using Email-ID and Password.
2.In the menu bar "Photo/Horo" section, click on the " Upload Horoscope" link.
3.By doing so, will take you to "Upload horoscope" page.
4.Select the "Yes" button against "Protect Horoscope"
5.Now enter the new horoscope password and re-enter the same for confirmation.
6.Click on the "Submit" button.
To unprotect your horoscope:
1.Login to your account using Email-ID and Password.
2.In the menu bar "Photo/Horo" section, click on the " Upload Horoscope" link.
3.By doing so, will take you to "Upload horoscope" page.
4.Select the "NO" button against "Protect Horoscope"
5.Click on the "Submit" button.
If you find a profile that matches with that of yours and the profile does not have horoscope attached to it, You can send a request to that member asking for his/her horoscope through this "Horoscope Request" option. Please note that, You can request for horoscope, only if you have uploaded your horoscope.

The types of filters available are:
My detailed profile can be viewed by all visitors. - This filter allows your profile to be viewed by both members and visitors. We highly recommend this filter, so that you will get good response, as many persons will view your profile.
Only registered members can view my detailed profile. - This filter allows your profile to be viewed by only Registered members. Non-members will not be able to view your detailed profile.
Only the members whom I contact can view my detailed profile. - This filter allows only those members to view your profile with whom you contact.

Yes! You can contact any member in any category. But you are restricted from contacting members of same gender as you.
The "Sent Messages" folder consists of list of messages that you had sent to other members.The "Received Messages consists of all the messages that you have received from other members.

2.In your "My Account" page click on the "Message Sent & Message Received" links to view those messages.
